On 10/24/2024, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals issued an update to the injunction that allowed the vampire rule (restricted locations as defined in NY PL 265.01-d).
TL;DR:
Social Media requirements are still enjoined and you do not have to disclose.
You can carry on private property open to the public without express permission if the location is not a "sensitive location."
You CANNOT carry on private property, which is NOT open to the public without express verbal permission or a posted sign.
Unfortunately, this is a mixed bag for us New Yorkers. While the 2nd Circuit enjoined enforcement concerning private property open to the public, they modified the injunction to not apply to private property not open to the public.
From our understanding, this will mean you may not carry on private property not open to the public such as corporate offices, private land, gated communities, warehouses, or private clubs without first getting express permission to carry on said property through express consent or a posted sign.
