About Us
We the People are a group of citizens who are tired of government officials who, through well-intentioned but misguided (or willfully ignorant) laws, negatively affect the safety of our communities.
For nearly 100 years New York lawmakers have promised the public that the weapons laws they passed would make New Yorkers safe.
They haven’t.
We care about our communities and want them to enjoy the American dream, but do not want to compromise our civil liberties—we want to maximize our liberties as our the founding fathers of the United States of America intended.
We not only intend to get every ounce of freedom back that we lost over the last 100 years, but we plan to keep it that way by taking back the reins and working with our fellow citizens to keep our communities safe and well-informed.
Government works for the people—not the other way around and we will fight to defend our inalienable rights we believe that New Yorkers (all U.S. citizens deserve).

Andrei is our lead instructor at Foundation For A Safer NY.
Since starting out on reddit.com/r/nyguns as a regular person devoted to helping people get their carry permits, he has started to help people come together to launch lawsuits. Foundation For A Safer NY is responsible for the Mills v. The City of New York lawsuit pinned in our header. He started off simply helping people get their permits, and decided that it was time to put together something tangible.
Since starting to shoot at the age of 12, he has been devoted to learning and training in the use of firearms and a love for the outdoors; be it through hiking, hunting, fishing or rock climbing. With a thorough understanding of the law as it applies to New Yorkers, through the penal law, litigation or his professional career in E-Discovery he has grown a grasp of how things apply to you, and how they apply in the world.
With countless hours at the range, and with countless hours at the front lines of litigation, he understood how important the 2nd Amendment is for everyday New Yorkers and decided to do something about it.
